Where: In-office Studio Broadcast to Virtual Platform – Hopin
Event: Annual Investors Day
TCI Annual Investors Day featured a host of mainstage event broadcast directly via their office space. We built a branded backdrop and full studio build to ensure the highest level of production value.
With the majority of the event being broadcast to the main stage, it was key that production was of the highest quality and integrated seamlessly into a live broadcast. We had a team made up of sound technicians, lighting technicians, graphic engineers, vMix operators, cameramen and project managers all on board to produce the show.
To engage the chat, the entire investment team hosted a live Q&A in which questions were beamed directly to their iPads to stick with the theme of a professional approach.
TCI wanted to create an experience and to deliver content in a virtual format that still delivered the information their clients want in an engaging manner.
It was important for them the platform was simple to use from registration all the way through to delivery and post-event on-demand content.
With a large amount of global speakers contributing to the investors day, infrastructure and IT was paramount to the event being a seamless experience for both the speakers and the audience at home.

Where: EXPAND Virtual Event
Following the success of Acorio’s first virtual Customer celebration (Expand 2020), they wanted to build upon this celebration of the Service Now community and Acorio family. As well as pulling together this community, the purpose was now to give back to the wider community and find a speaker who aligned with this. We couldn’t think of a more perfect speaker than global superstar, Greenlights author and founder of the Just Keep Livin Foundation, Matthew McConaughey. Drift RevGrowth Account Based Management
Focused on Account Based Engagement, this RevGrowth event brought together marketers and salespeople to take a deep dive and learn how to unify sales and marketing around a common goal: revenue. The agenda not only included presentations from Drift’s CMO, Tricia Gellman and CPO, Leo Tenenblat, but had keynote appearances by Omar Johnson, founder of ØPUS United, former CMO of Beats by Dre and VP of Marketing at Apple, and Musa Tariq, CMO at GoFundMe, for a full day of great content.
What makes Drift’s events unique, starts with the registration process. Directly on their site and with the help from their bot, Drift bots easily integrate with Goldcast through Marketo for an easy and seamless registration process. Once you receive your confirmation email from the Goldcast platform, you can access the event immediately and add not only the full agenda to your calendar, but you can also add individual sessions depending on which content is more important you.
Another key feature of the Goldcast platform is the ability to upload and stream pre-recorded content from a main stage. Pre-recorded videos are preferred in some cases to live video to avoid any troubles with the live stream and allow for edits to be made in pre-production to deliver top quality final content.
As a newer platform on the market, Goldcast has taken the feedback from other platforms to create a platform that encompasses the features desired from both an admin and attendee point of view.
Who: Hopin Virtual Platform, with 800 internal GitLab team members across the globe over 4 days
Event: Peak Performance SKO 2021
GitLab’s Peak Performance SKO event was structured with opening and closing activities and presenting important company messaging through sessions and breakouts over the course of 4-days. The mornings kicked off with 3 activity stages featuring a live DJ session with DJ Graffiti, pre-recorded cooking and mixology lessons with Chef Chris and yoga and meditation classes to put you in the right frame of mind for the day. At the end of each day, a live activity was available for employees to have some fun and learn more about their fellow colleagues. The Trivia game put participants in randomized teams and had everyone working together through multiple rounds of questions to see who came out on top. Our at home scavenger hunt invited attendees to source different items throughout their homes and share stories behind these household treasures. And lastly, was music bingo, which left everyone singing along to guess the tune and complete their bingo cards.
With many platforms available, having experience with Hopin was a great advantage for this event. Knowing how to best utilize the platform and what areas would work best for the activities ensured the attendee experience would be easy and enjoyable. For the morning sessions, having the cooking and yoga classes pre-recorded made for simpler execution and allowed us to show each class multiple times throughout the week.
Having pre-recorded content meant stricter and earlier deadlines for deliverables and ensuring all content was ready to go for the scheduled streaming time. The live DJ sessions and afternoon activities were a great way to break up with content and allow for real time engagement to recreate some of those moments would have at a live event.
Who: Hopin Virtual Platform, with 1,000+ Scylla Database users and customers from across the globe
Event: Scylla Summit 2021
Scylla Summit featured more than 30 main stage sessions across the first two event days, from Scylla’s internal team of engineers – including keynotes from Dor Laor (CEO & Co-Founder) and Avi Kivity (CTO) – as well as Scylla users and industry experts including Jepsen, Expedia Group and Ticketmaster.
Expertly live hosted by Scylla’s VP of Marketing, Bob Dever, Scylla Summit afforded a carefully curated schedule of daily keynotes and 10-15minute lightening talks on the platform’s Main Stage. Running concurrently to the stage content, a series of demo lounges and the infamous speaker lounge gave attendees the opportunity to learn more about Scylla’s products and continue the conversations with speakers off the stage too!
We set-up a series of training calls and demo sites within Hopin for the ‘Lounge’ hosts and Trainers to ensure they felt familiar and confident with the virtual site and its functionalities in advance of the live event itself. The virtual world of events is still very new not only to attendees, but to speakers and some of our clients too, so investing time and resources into equipping them with the necessary skills to navigate the platform during the planning process is paramount.
Whereas most live events see speakers presenting live on stage, since Scylla Summit would host a vast array of speakers (30 to be exact!) from locations all over the globe, from the outset the decision was made to pre-record the speaker sessions. Not only did this mean there wouldn’t be the issue of connectivity or no-shows on the day, but also that speakers could be available for audience engagement throughout the event, and that the sessions could go up on the on-demand site as soon they had been aired!

Event: Amp 2021
A one week onboarding into the platform for all staff, allowing them to create their own avatars and get to grips with the platform.

The RevGrowth Virtual Summit featured over 20 amazing speakers including Huib van Bockel (Founder, TENZING Natural Energy, Former CMO of Red Bull Europe), Kubi Springer (Award-Winning Brand Specialist and Media Personality) and Anna Griffin (CMO, Smartsheet). We utilised ON24 to host The RevGrowth Virtual Summit which gave attendees a platform to exchange ideas, offer input, and seek out viewpoints from a community of learners gathered from across the globe.

Event: Expand Virtual Event
An online Customer celebration event. Acorio’s Party event is usually an annual, in-person celebration of the Service Now community and Acorio family. But this year, the event goes digital. The online event aims to pull together a community who is now facing new struggles in business and at home. We couldn’t think of a better way to do that than providing a globally recognized comic and host Trevor Noah.

Event: Conversations 2020
Conversations 2020 featured over 25 incredible speakers including, Stan Chudnovsky (VP of Messenger, Facebook), Daymond John (Founder & CEO of FUBU, Star of ABC’s Shark Tank and CEO of The Shark Group) and Molly Pittman (CEO, Smart Marketer) to name a few! We were challenged by the ManyChat team to use their chosen platform, Bevy. Within the platform we utilised the chat functionality to communicate with attendees and also let them interact with the live content, we used breakouts to create birds of a feather sessions where attendees could discuss their chosen topics, and the mainstage to stream the keynote live sessions, all on a fully branded site. We also had a live DJ at the end of each day with Zoom party breakouts for guests to get involved in!

The live stream of the ceremony also widely available to teachers and learners worldwide via the YouTube and Facebook channels..
Event: ELTons Innovation Awards 2020
The ELTons celebrated the most innovative products (publications, courses, apps, projects and platforms) to aid English language learning and teaching around the world, alongside the individuals and teams behind them. Moving online for the first time in 18 years, the ELTons took place on the virtual platform, Hopin. The ceremony welcomed presenters, finalists, winners, and attendees from 75 countries globally. The live ceremony itself was hosted by the Reverend Richard Coles, and featured thepresentation of 7 awards by 7 different presenters. A total of 29 finalists across the awards joined the live stage for the announcement of their award’s winner, with eachwinner giving an acceptance speech upon receipt.
Either side of the live ceremony, attendees were encouraged to participate in Meet the Innovators roundtables, connect and catch-up with colleagues through the 1:1 video networking and chat features, and visit the booths to learn more about the finalists’ unique products. Throughout the event, attendees, finalists, organisers, and presenters connected, celebrated, and shared insights in the event-wide and stage-specific chats, creating that sense of community that had been desired from the outset.
The work, time, and effort that goes into planning, creating, and executing a virtual event is as great as it is for a live event, and our passion and drive to deliver a high-production value remains. Our designers worked hard to create inspiring and imaginative assets including a variety of animations, lower thirds, and slides which complemented the host and presenters’ narratives, and captured the client’s brand and purpose. We had a strong team of production and event crew who worked collectively with our client, pre-event and on-the-day to ensure the host, presenters, and finalists appearing on the stage were briefed, confident, and well-prepared for their key moments, and that the content and streaming were executed with professionalism and quality on the day.

Who: Cybersecurity professionals who attend the annual Black Hat conference in Las Vegas
Event: Virtual Vegas Poker Tournament
We partnered with Rapid 7 to create a custom, non-cash exchange poker site coupled with Zoom integration. With a greeting from poker professional Daniel Negreanu, players were assigned to breakout rooms to play against their table opponents. The top 9 earning players from round one were invited to the Grand Finale game for a chance to win a trip for 2 to WSOP 2021.

The Knight Public Spaces Forum featured over 50 amazing speakers including Alberto Ibargüen (President and CEO, Knight Foundation), Jennifer Allen and Gia Biagi – Commissioner, Chicago Department of Transportation.
We hosted the Knight Public Spaces Forum on Hopin which ensured our partners were able to learn from their community leaders, exchange ideas, discuss current events and seek connections for their public space projects.
