the challenge
After experiencing a hugely successful year during 2022, Rapid7 wanted to gather team members from all around the world for their 2023 Global Kickoff. This annual, company-wide kickoff event was designed to educate, inspire and activate for the year ahead—inspiring employees to Rise to the Challenge in 2023.
the solution
After working closely with the Rapid7 team on many past events, we were tasked with creating a Global Kickoff event that could bring together thousands of Rapid7 employees located all over the world. To achieve this, we produced a hybrid event in three live locations across three different cities over two-days, enabling as many attendees to join as possible, whether in-person or online.
With various challenges and so many moving parts involved with bringing such a multifaceted event to life, we were in charge of numerous aspects of management and production throughout the lifecycle. In the build up to the event, we worked to source the right speakers and talent who would help to create an entertaining and educational atmosphere. During the event, we were responsible for project and content management, where we handled both the virtual and live production, ensuring a smooth experience for attendees and managing any unexpected challenges as they arose. We also managed all logistical aspects, including coordinating travel arrangements and accommodation for the crew—using this data to track carbon emissions and offset these via various methods. Overall, our goal was to create a successful and memorable experience for all in attendance, both on and off screen.

Rapid7’s GKO23 was an enormous success, with simultaneous, engaging experience for those in attendance and a seamless virtual broadcast connecting Rapid7 team members from all across the world.
The final result saw thousands of Rapid7 employees come together and hear from the internal leadership team to discuss all of the incredible highlights from the previous year, whilst showcasing the objectives and plans for the year ahead. The stage held a range of talented panels, special guests and more including Corey E. Thomas (CEO of Rapid7), Andrew Burton (President & COO at Rapid7), Christina Luconi (Chief People Officer at Rapid7), along with special guest, Robyn Benincasa.
