the challenge
Distributed is Miro’s annual event to allow users to experience connection and the unveiling of a new set of tools to help teams engage and make big things happen. The event takes place across three days and three-time zones (AMER, EMEA and APAC) but with Covid-19 still restricting travel and large group gatherings, Miro wanted to create an energetic 2-day virtual event.
the solution
Our creative team worked alongside Miro to bring together employees, partners and Mironeers to create a 2-day event within just 3 weeks. This included setting up remote speakers with everything they needed to go virtual, including bespoke kits. These kits provided the speakers with lighting, microphones and cameras, together with a coaching video from one of our partners and speaker coaches, Marcus Murphy. Which provided insight on how best to interact with the camera, to ensure engaging and professional recordings.
“We worked with emc3 to produce Miro’s annual conference, Distributed. They were amazing and the production was really seamless!” —Joanna Kim, Enterprise Events & Programs Manager.
the result
We partnered with Miro on Hopin to create two stages across different time zones so that attendees could gather across the world to attend Miro’s third annual event, Distributed—which focused on the “path to reconnection”, breaking down digital walls and exploring how to deeply connect teams, work and sense of purpose. There were over 20,000+ registrants across AMER, EMEA and APAC who tuned into the event which streamed over 20 amazing speakers, including a keynote from special guest Priya Parker, author of The Art of Gathering along with multiple sessions unveiling new tools and collaborations, with sessions from Zendesk, True Diversity, BaseHQ and Deloitte.
