Purpose

We are experiencing significant growth and are seeking a talented Midweight Graphic Designer to contribute their creative expertise in shaping the visual narrative of impactful events for our worldwide clientele. As a Midweight Graphic Designer, you’ll be instrumental in visually shaping event projects, ensuring all creative executions nail the brand’s vision and event objectives. Collaborating closely with the Creative Lead, you’ll help develop event identities for some of the world’s top brands, then bringing them to life by implementing them across all event touchpoints. This role demands a sharp visual eye, a collaborative mindset, and a knack for generating impactful design solutions that resonate with diverse event attendees.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Creative Vision

Develop and communicate a clear vision for projects, campaigns, or brands under the guidance of Senior Designers and Head of Creative. Oversee the design layout and visual impact of print and digital assets, marketing materials and publications.

Concept Development and Implementation

Generate innovative concepts and ideas that resonate with the target audience. Implement finished branding concepts across all areas of an event including digital, large and small format print.

RFPs

Contribute visually to the ideation of event themes and concepts, helping to shape event narratives and storytelling. Collaborating with Design, Tech, Content, and Strategy teams to ensure brand application is visually compelling and supports client acquisition efforts, owning the deck to ensure that the finished pitch deck is cohesive and visually striking.

Project Oversight

You’ll be involved in the entire creative process, from initial brainstorming to final execution, ensuring projects align with the brand and are delivered on time. While often collaborating with and reporting to the Creative Lead or Head of Department, you will also have opportunities to lead the visual execution of specific projects.

Leadership Development

You will be working underneath the Creative and Design department Heads and reporting directly to our Senior Designer. We’ll support your growth in leadership skills, empowering you to confidently lead design aspects of projects and provide guidance to freelance and other team members as your role and confidence evolves.

Client Collaboration

Collaborate closely with clients to understand their goals and expectations, presenting creative concepts and solutions.

Quality Control

Maintain high creative standards and ensure the final output meets or exceeds client expectations.

Project Management

You will work closely with the Design Project Manager to adhere to deadlines and budgets, and ensure that the project is delivered effectively.

Market Research

Stay updated on industry trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activities to inform creative strategies.

Presentation Skills

Present and effectively pitch creative ideas and concepts to clients or stakeholders.

Brand Consistency

Ensure that all creative output is consistent with the brand’s identity and messaging.

Internal Creative Work

Help to lead on all creative elements for internal projects, signing off all creative output alongside Sales and Strategy.


Personal Specification

Education

A bachelor’s degree in design, advertising, marketing, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA) or relevant certifications can be beneficial.

Design Experience

We’re looking for an experienced Midweight Designer seeking an opportunity for significant growth, or a highly capable Junior Graphic Designer ready to advance their career in the dynamic world of event design. Previous experience in the Event/Experiential industry is preferred but by no means a prerequisite.

Print & Digital Asset Preparation

Demonstrated knowledge of print and digital processes, experience in designing and preparing print collateral and packaging artwork for successful production. Additionally, an understanding of preparing and organizing digital assets (e.g., for signage, displays) for seamless implementation across various event platforms would be advantageous.

Creativity and Design

Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills to generate innovative ideas, with a comprehensive understanding of design, copy and web best practices/guidelines.

Creative Software

Proficiency in creative software such as Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma for designing and implementing design assets.

Brand

A strong understanding of brand development and multichannel marketing concepts. Experience in working within a client’s brand guidelines is a must.

Communication

Excellent communication skills, including for pitches. Comfort interacting with clients and internal staff alike

Project Management Tools

Familiarity with project management software like Asana, Trello, or Monday.com for overseeing creative projects.

Presentation Software

Tools like Microsoft PowerPoint, Pitch or Google Slides for creating and delivering presentations.
