what you’ll be doing
We’re going through an exciting period of growth, helping clients across the world bring their stories to life through the power of events, and we’re looking for someone brilliant to help us to do that. So, if you’re a creative expert with the ability to lead a team, we need you!
This role will involve you being a creative leader for our creative team on the Google client projects. We’re looking for you to take your experience in synthesising trends and client insights and turn that into remarkable presentations that meet objectives and work within constraints. You will generate event narratives and design project plans that exceed expectations. You will maintain emc3 & Google brand standards throughout the project.
You are a creative bubbling with ideas and value both curiosity and attention to detail. Youdelight in the impact of events and the opportunity to engage guests in remarkable experiences. To deliver successfully, skills in 3 key areas are vital: Leadership, Creative and Production.
Your roles and responsibilities will vary however, your core focus will be to leading the Creative team on the Google client!
what you’ll need
In this position, we’re looking for you to demonstrate experience in the event or live experience industry, including specifically working with Google brand previously. We’d love to hear about your prior experience acting as client-facing creative lead for projects. You will be overseeing creative projects and making key decisions during the project.
We expect you will be able to guide the direction of creative projects and clearly communicate a vision to team members and clients. Collaborating with other department leads on creative projects is just as important, keeping all key players on the same page. And last but not least, the ability to resolve conflicts, disputes, and disagreements within the team and client’s perception.
As a lead designer, your experience generating artistic sketches, renderings or visualisations in 2D or 3D will be key, in order to guide other designers, and produce assets when required. We will need for you to be proficient in Adobe Software or similar graphic design software, as well as G Suite & Figma. Bonus points if you are used to working in Asana and Slack.
We’d love for you to foster a culture of what-ifs, questioning every decision we make on the project to ensure it is well thought out. And we expect for you to embody and promote a culture of curiosity and meticulous attention to detail.
The production aspect of our events is a major tie in with creative. We’d expect for you to collaborate with producers, vendor partners, and other creative talent to come up with creative plans for the event. You would work collaboratively with the Strategy/Content team to create an event Strategy + Art Direction following strict client brand guidelines. And within those, ensure client brand standards are met in all design solutions.
You will lead client discovery meetings, working to identify objectives and constraints. A key skill is being adept at translating concepts into functional event plans, visualising environmental elements and detailing engagement experiences. Designing guest experience, mapping guest journey and engagement touch points will also be within your purview.
Working alongside production, meeting client expectations for safety, inclusivity and sustainability within proposed designs. And lastly, you will provide art direction/creative supervision to ensure quality, accuracy and creative compliance for graphic and custom build elements during pre-production and onsite installation.
