Working Days

Full Remote, Part time / 3 days per week (Tuesday, Thursday plus one other day).


Purpose

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Finance Manager to oversee core finance operations on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for a qualified finance professional who enjoys working autonomously, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and supporting the business with high-quality financial insights.


Day to day responsibilities

  • Lead the month-end close process, including reviews, reconciliations, and adjustments.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts with clear analysis and accurate data.
  • Manage payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate staff payments.
  • Oversee and authorise supplier payment runs, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
  • Review and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements.
  • Administer, review and track team expense pots.
  • Perform ad hoc finance tasks, including:
    • Intercompany invoicing
    • Updating and maintaining analysis spreadsheets
    • Supporting wider finance projects as required

What you’ll need

Qualifications & Experience
  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
  • Proven track record in managing end-to-end finance operations, ideally in a dynamic SME or agency environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards, VAT, and payroll.
Skills & Competencies
  • Excellent attention to detail and high standards of accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver to deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to challenge and advise stakeholders.
