The challenge
In 2023, we partnered with Orca Security on a series of standout expos and conferences, including AWS:reInforce in California and Black Hat in Las Vegas. Orca sought to leverage expos as a way to bolster their sales pipeline, aiming to establish connections and generate prospects through engaging sales meetings.
Ultimately, their objectives were to build rapport, grow brand awareness, and obtain leads through demos and interactions at the booth. As AWS partners, these expos were pivotal in reinforcing their success and drawing in potential clients. The decision to host this expo was driven by their consistent success at previous expos. Their sixth expo participation was crucial for long-term success in lead generation and establishing sales connections and they wanted to make a splash with something unique that would draw in the crowds.
The solution
To meet Orca’s ambitious goals, we delivered an end-to-end event solution, ensuring their booth stood out as one of the most talked-about attractions at the expo. Our design team created a visually striking booth featuring a 12-foot orca statue, affectionately named “Orkie.” This instantly recognisable centerpiece became a crowd favourite and a popular selfie spot among attendees, helping Orca achieve the visibility they needed.
To make the booth experience even more engaging, we included fun interactive elements, such as a claw machine and custom giveaways, which added a playful touch and encouraged attendees to stop by. Despite restrictive space regulations and stiff competition for attention within the expo hall, our innovative approach to booth design ensured Orca’s presence was both functional and visually impressive.
In addition to booth management and design, we provided tech integration, content creation, and onsite staffing to ensure the event ran smoothly. These efforts allowed Orca’s team to focus entirely on networking, product demonstrations, and fostering meaningful connections with attendees.
The result
The event was a resounding success and exceeded Orca’s expectations. Booth and demo traffic increased by an impressive 50%, with the interactive features and iconic orca statue drawing consistent crowds. The event not only helped Orca generate new prospects but also strengthened networking opportunities with key stakeholders in the cloud security space.
Attendees were thrilled by the booth’s creativity, and the orca statue became one of the most talked-about features of the event. Orca’s CMO described the booth as “flawless,” underscoring the client’s satisfaction with our work.
This event marked yet another milestone in our long-term partnership with Orca. Over the course of six expos, we have continually reimagined their brand presentation, showcasing the evolution of their identity through innovative and memorable exhibition experiences.
