Working Days

Full Time (+1 Day per week in our London office).


Purpose

As Head of People and Performance, you will be the strategic lead responsible for ensuring the internal engine of the business runs smoothly, efficiently, and with heart. You’ll drive operational excellence while cultivating an environment where people perform at their best. This role bridges internal operations, talent, and culture, with direct accountability for business processes, HR, L&D, supplier management, and resourcing. You will also play a key role in onboarding new companies into TopCo and sustaining intercompany cohesion. Driving business transformation and leading change management with the Global MD is a key part of this role.


Key Roles & Responsibilities

Department Budget
  • Manage current compensation and operational budgets for P&P team.
Business Operations
  • Lead internal operations strategy and optimisation across all core agency functions.
  • Oversee assessment, implementation, and evolution of platforms and systems—especially around AI integration and automation.
  • Ensure strategic alignment of operational systems with overall business goals.
  • Drive the review of and implementation for emc3 Collective’s tech stack.
Operational Excellence
  • Partner with delivery teams to ensure operational processes are embedded across the event lifecycle, bridging ‘behind the scenes’ and execution teams.
  • Monitor and evolve workflows to improve delivery efficiency, effectiveness, and consistency.
Supplier Management
  • Lead the procurement function, ensuring compliance, quality, and cost-effectiveness of third-party suppliers.
  • Manage supplier contracting, commission tracking, and timely payments.
Human Resources
  • Oversee the HR function, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and HR policy development.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
  • Act as the escalation point for any HR grievances.
Company Culture & Engagement
  • Collaborate with the Global MD to design and implement programs that support a thriving agency culture.
  • Lead the culture team and drive initiatives including Summer Conn3ct, seasonal parties, and other engagement events within budget.
Learning & Development
  • Shape onboarding experiences and training programs that support professional development at all levels.
  • Build and maintain the company’s succession planning strategy and career path frameworks.
Resourcing
  • Design and maintain a scalable freelancer resourcing strategy.
  • Ensure freelancer resourcing is forecasted and managed within pre-determined KPIs.
  • Oversee creation and management of a freelancer database, standardised contracts, onboarding processes, and invoicing workflows.
TopCo Integration
  • Work with the VP Agency Enablement to design the operational onboarding framework for new companies joining TopCo.
  • Create and manage systems for ongoing intercompany collaboration and communication.
Global Managing Director Support
  • Support coordination of Senior Leadership Team meetings as needed.
  • Support coordination of Conn3ct Forum monthly meetings as needed.
  • Provide data reporting support when required.
