In 1999 a high-level concierge service was founded in a basement apartment in Notting Hill, England. In the decades since, the business has evolved into an international full-service agency that has earned itself a globally recognised track record of delivering some of the most impactful and innovative experiences around for clients such as LinkedIn, Gong and VeeFriends. We have great ambitions and are proud of everything we’ve built since our basement apartment days, but we’re still growing, and for our next phase, we need you!
what you’ll be doing
We’re in the midst of an exciting expansion period, and we’re looking for a Head of Growth to help drive our global reach. The role demands a leader who has a sharp mind and an ability to coach, advise and motivate and we’re looking for somebody who excels at lead generation, relationship building, and deal closing to join us.
Our ideal candidate will be a quick learner, with strong negotiating skills—someone with a successful track record who can inspire the same performance in others.
what you’ll need
In this role, we are seeking a candidate with 5+ years of hands-on experience in managing sales and driving growth for events. Your objective will be to meet ours by meticulously planning, establishing growth targets, scrutinising performance data, and providing invaluable forecasts.
Your extensive background will be vital to success as you will be tasked with crafting and implementing a comprehensive strategic growth plan that expands our customer base and extends the company’s global reach. This will encompass overseeing the entire process, starting from identifying prospective opportunities, nurturing and cultivating a sustainable high-quality and high-profit pipeline, and ultimately ensuring that we consistently meet and exceed our new business targets on a global scale.
Your role will involve in-depth research to discern the unique needs and preferences of our target consumers, and you’ll play a pivotal role in demonstrating how our innovative solutions precisely cater to those needs. Expertise in selling event production to enterprise-level brands is a crucial asset for this role, together with an ability to effectively monitor and report on growth and marketing expenditure.
We’re looking for someone with a proven track record of success throughout the entire sales and growth process, from meticulous planning to skilful closing of deals. A strategic mindset is what will truly set you apart in this role, as you’ll be responsible for strategically developing a robust pipeline of new business opportunities, ensuring our continued growth and success in the market.
Acting as a key representative of our company, you’ll be playing a crucial role in shaping our image by possessing a deep and comprehensive understanding of our products and services. Relationships are the bread and butter of our business, and your ability to connect with clients and prospects will be essential in generating leads and cultivating lasting client relationships.
In this role, you will be tasked with achieving individual revenue targets, and your success will hinge on your proficiency in developing and converting a robust pipeline of business opportunities. Therefore we’re seeking excellent communication and interpersonal skills to empower you to convey our value proposition effectively, in addition to organisational abilities to ensure that you stay on top of your goals and objectives.
Superb leadership ability is paramount for this role, as it involves recommending and implementing comprehensive revenue maximisation strategies. These strategies encompass a wide spectrum, from shaping innovative marketing opportunities to identifying untapped revenue potential.
Therefore, staying at the forefront of digital and technological developments within the events industry is a crucial aspect of this role, enabling us to adapt and innovate in an ever-evolving landscape.
Business relationships drive our success forward, but it’s important that you shine when managing internal relationships, as well as external, as you’ll be leading teams on pitches, securing new business and optimising the customer journey.
The ability to travel is a crucial component of this position—therefore you’ll need an in-date passport! Encompassing at least 20% of your time, you’ll have the opportunity to meet with potential clients, attend various industry and networking events and foster enduring relationships across various locations in the world.
what you’ll get
The chance to be part of a fast-growing, award-winning global events agency that encourages their team to have autonomy over their role, enabling you to bring new ideas to the table, develop your role into exactly what you want it to be and receive support whilst doing it.
In addition to that, in return for everything you bring, we will provide the following:
A salary, 20 days of paid time off, plus public holidays, medical group coverage and participation in the emc3 401k plan to eligible employees.
With events happening in incredible locations across the globe, there are plenty of opportunities to travel. Previous locations include London, New York, Miami, San Francisco, Mexico City, São Paulo, Singapore, Dubai, Ibiza, Barcelona, Paris, Hvar and more!
We have typical hours of 9 am – 5 pm but due to the nature of the events industry, we offer a flexible approach to this. Want to work different hours? You can. Need to pop out for an appointment? You can. You just need to let your manager know!
A great company culture provides more than just lip service—and we make sure we’re always doing that by regularly investing in it. Not just offering you a job and a warm welcome, but creating opportunities for you to build a fulfilling career. We do this by investing in your development, whether personal or professional, providing accessible leadership, and hosting numerous team socials. Including Christmas and Summer parties you’ll actually want to attend—with previous overnight stays at venues such as Port Lympne Safari and New Orleans.
We work remotely, you can work from anywhere: your home, your garden, abroad — and we’ll set you up with the equipment to do so, including an Apple MacBook, mouse, laptop stand and second screen.
At emc3, we have a dedicated learning and development budget allocated to each person so that they can learn and grow in their role. And when it comes to progression, you’ll have the opportunity to level: up, down or sideways! Whether you’re looking to progress further in a current role or change departments—where possible, we’ll always support you with the transition
In addition to unlimited paid time off for mental health, we provide free access to therapy, counselling and mental health resources for all of our employees.
We believe everybody should do their bit, and so offer one paid day off a year so that you can help out in your local community.
We care about the impact events and our business have on the environment and have a sustainability team to ensure we follow best practices to make our events as environmentally friendly as possible.
