The challenge
After the success of their previous event, Peak returned this year for AltitudeX 2022. The global AI summit welcomed data scientists, data analysts, data engineers and those interested in getting into these fields to share ideas, ask questions and learn from one another.
Peak wanted this year’s event to be even bigger and more captivating than the previous year, emphasising the importance of creating a professional, immersive atmosphere.
The result
Over 800 people were in attendance to experience AltitudeX 2022, with the event kicking off with an opening keynote by Richard Potter, CEO and co-founder at Peak, and additional speakers including Zanang Dangata (Data Scientist at Natwest) and Toju Duke (Program Manager at Google) who spoke about all things AI and decision making. The stage also hosted engaging experiences such as AI Buzzword Bingo with Zoe Hillenmeyer CCO at Peak, and a fireside chat with Caroline Criado Perez, Author of Invisible Woman
The rest of the venue held unique entertainment and activities including a delicious street food market, networking and meeting spaces, a live DJ, and a relaxing wellness zone to ensure that attendees were cared for at each stage of the event. And AltitudeX was a huge success, with excellent feedback on the production and event design, and attendees describing the event as “so much better than last years!”
The solution
With AltitudeX being held in the popular Depot Mayfield venue, we were required to plan around other events that were taking place during the same period. The venue needed to be transformed to be suited for a conference, making the most of the large open spaces whilst creating breakout areas and unique activity zones.
Our team worked hard to ensure the entire event ran smoothly, running production, booking talent and speakers, and managing registration and branding. Sustainability management was also a priority for us, tracking all staff travel to and from the event, and donating all leftover food to a local food bank.
