The challenge
Manychat wanted to deliver a virtual event for their community of chat marketers who were looking to learn and engage with fellow peers. They wanted the event to be just as exciting and engaging as the real thing, with a focus on delivering top quality content that would attract their community and customers, whilst minimising the loss of any of the production value from previous live shows.
The solution
We were challenged by the ManyChat team to use their chosen platform, Bevy. We wanted to match the excitement levels that live events generate for attendees, so we went into it with that same level of commitment, focussing a lot of our efforts on curating the event platform to create the best experience possible. Whether that was increasing the usability, integrating the chat function, or creating the help desks, we wanted to ensure that the user experience was at the heart of the event.
Within the platform, we utilised the chat functionality to communicate with attendees and made sure they were able to interact with the live content. We used breakouts to create Birds of a feather sessions (BOFs), where attendees could discuss their chosen topics and used the main stage to stream the keynote live sessions, all on a fully branded site.
The results
The results were an incredible event, attended (virtually) by over 5,000+ people in 109 countries with more than 200,000 people reached on social media within 3-days. Put together by a production team that filmed, edited, and delivered the content to the highest quality, so that users felt that they were close to a real-life experience, the event featured an abundance of entertainment.
There were over 25 incredible speakers—which included the CEO of Smart Marketer, Molly Pittman, VP of Messenger on Facebook, Stan Chudnovsky, and Founder & CEO of FUBU, CEO of The Shark Group, Daymond John, to name a few! Outside of this, there were also an array of activities to keep attendees engaged. Which included morning yoga and meditation sessions and a live DJ with themed Zoom dance breakouts—which the attendees loved getting involved with!
