As lockdown is coming to an end, hotels across the country are opening their doors.
People everywhere are looking for exciting new places to play and stay.
And there are some amazing new hotspots that are opening in London.
So, we’ve created a list of some of the best hotels that are opening this year!
Hart Shoreditch Hotel London, Curio Collection by Hilton
Added in February this new Hilton hotel based in Shoreditch is a great stay. With 126 rooms there is a lot of choice. The name is taken from its previous occupants, the Harts who were cabinet maker sin the 1800’s. The rooms are decorated with a copper and green finish in which they add to the modern furnishing. The hotel hosts a fitness centre along with a restaurant and a bar.
Residence inn, London Tower Bridge
More for the longer stay “guest” The Residence Inn offers 101 apartment style suites. Rooms come with Kitchens, desks, full size appliances and also smart TV’s. Breakfast is offered complimentary and guests have access to a small market and a grocery service that is delivered to their door. A 24-hour gym and laundry service are also available.
Located between Islington and Shoreditch this 4-star hotel features 190 rooms, a restaurant/pub/bar, gym networking space and also 3 meeting spaces. This Hotel sounds great for a business stay. Each room has a London theme with abstract contemporary elements that make the rooms really stand out to most hotel stays.
Ruby Lucy, London
We’ve picked Ruby Lucy for this list for a very unique reason. If you have a talent for playing the guitar or maybe you just want to try and impress your significant other that you’ve brought to the hotel, this is the absolute perfect hotel for you. Each room offers a guitar amp in which you can use your own guitar, or one from reception. Amazing right? It gets better. If you’re worried about the sound caused by all of these guitars being played around the hotel disturbing you whilst you sleep or eat, Mathew Balon (hotel architect) had your thoughts covered. Every room is sound proof! The hotel offers 76 rooms, facilities include a bar, dining area, communal work station and a library.
Hub by Premier Inn, London West Brompton
We added this pick to the list for the readers with less budget. This premiere Inn Hub opened last January, therefore hasn’t had the chance to properly open its doors to customers yet. The Hub offers 89 rooms and is situated perfectly for use of the underground and overground being next to West Brompton station. The interior has a clean and simplistic finish and decoration backs off of where it is located… London. A perfect stay for a budget London traveller.
Yotel is a modern stay in central London. Rooms are equipped with “smart beds” which transforms into a sofa and other features include a reading light and charging ports. The “Yotel” also offers superfast WiFi and smart TV’s. Facilities include an all-day restaurant, bar, work space, a gym and a grab and go snack station. Perfect for a business person for the efficiency and fast paced nature of the hotel.
With a boutique old fashioned design, this property is very exclusive and can be only booked for corporate and group bookings. Costing from £4950, 14 people, breakfast, minibar use, evening drinks and “tea and treats” are offered. Rooms also include hair dryers and classy bathroom products free of charge (I’d hope so for the price). For dining the property offers a sharing table for breakfast and dinners including any special gatherings, like parties. An outdoor terrace, a cocktail room and a reading room is also available.
If their Hotel is anything like their food, the stay at this hotel will no doubt be filled with luxury and nothing short of maximum effort. They originally had planned to open last year but had set backs due to the virus. Now they state that they open April 12th, 2021. The hotel offers 249 rooms as well as a ballroom, gym, bar and outdoor terrace.
The Mayfair Townhouse
For the location of Mayfair, the price isn’t too extortionate. Rooms start at £252 for their base package of the “Cabin Room”. The set of Georgian buildings have been refurbished and redecorated completely. A modern-boutique look to each room keeps some of the nostalgia of the Georgian buildings but also keeps up with 2021. A penthouse suite and a garden suite are available and the hotel includes a bar, gym and event spaces.
“The transformation of the storied 19th century building draws inspiration from its history and location in Covent Garden, as well as exploring the artistic and cultural connection between London and New York.” This hotel has a fantastic appearance. Opening at the beginning of May, this classy and cotemporary hotel is a perfect stay for someone who wants to have a great experience of a hotel. With locations only in London, New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas, there is an exclusive feel to staying here, however you surely pay the price with the base price for a room starting around £455. The hotel includes a cocktail bar and an outstanding all-day dining area within an atrium.
